Meet Captain Drew

Captain Drew Cavanaugh is from Montana and moved to central Florida when he was a very young boy with his mom, dad and younger brother. His father started a new business there and both of Drew's grandparents were there in Florida as well. He is a USCG Merchant Mariner fully licensed and insured. He holds all of his local, state and federal permits.

Growing up on a peninsula surrounded by water, with bass fishing lakes every where, he fell in love with fishing and boating at a very young age. His grandfather, who resided in Titusville, introduced Drew to saltwater fishing and the lifestyle that comes along with it when Drew was in his early teen's. He now is a 25 plus year full time professional light tackle saltwater fishing guide year round along with doing eco tours, sight seeing and wildlife photography. He resides in Oak Hill, just a few miles south of New Smyrna Beach or NSB as the locals call it. Oak Hill borders the world famous Mosquito Lagoon, Canaveral National Seashore, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and NASA or KSC.

With his knowledge from doing fishing trips daily for decades he has gained and learned so much about the New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, Oak Hill and Ponce Inlet areas and its marine and wildlife. He has contributed to many years of marine and wildlife rescues as well, education and overall conservation.
